I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Years! I had an amazing break, very relaxing, lots of family fun and much needed R & R. Over this period I had alot of time to reflect on my business over the year and re-assess my goals and plan for Little Sooti in the new year!! More detailed post about this change is to come soon once I confirm some details, watch this space!

Hope you all had a lovlely Christmas Day, our was lovely spent with family and fun. The kids enjoyed watching the hail stones that greeted us yesterday in Melbourne, was a white christmas thats for sure!

Well it's Boxing Day today, weather is not very nice so we are snuggled inside today just relaxing and recovering from the past two days family luncheons. I thought I would share a recent Christmas Dessert table I created with printables by Ham and Pea and was featured on Amy Atlas Blog here.

We are thrilled to see our SUPERHERO party created for 6 year old birthday boy Daniel featured on Amy Atlas Blog this morning, here are the rest of the pics for your viewing pleasure. This was really a fun theme and the invitation and printables created by Li-Ann of Ham & Pea really set the whole colour theme for me. All 23 kids had there own personal cape, mask and wrist band hand made by Sweet Tashie, they all got to choose their very own 'superhero' name tag and they just LOVED the telephone booth we made!

The kids got a special visit from Batman himself and they were so excited and that kept them entertained for a while. Each child got their own lunchbox and 'super juice', had a colouring page as a placemat in which they got to colour in at the table. After lunch we sang happy birthday, cut the cake and got to enjoy the delicious cake, cookies and cupcakes by Just Call Me Martha, some kryptonite jelly, popcorn and swizzle sticks provided by The Little Big Company. The kids just loved sitting at their table with the cute little bubble chairs from Tiny Tables and Chairs.We also had the lovely Laura of Laura Cioccia Photography come and photograph it all for us. All in all, the weather was perfect, the birthday boy and his friends had a SUPER fun day!!!

This AMAZING party was created by one extremely talented lady. Wendy of Wendy Updegraff Photography was behing this gorgeous little party for her daughter Bella's 8th birthday. Wendy really went all out on this party and each and every detail well thought out. The party was kept small in numbers so her daughter chose two of her closest friends and her cousin to come over for a slumber party. I am really liking the idea of smaller parties as this allows you to go that extra mile{price wise} LOL!!

Wendy and her daughter came up with the theme of Camp Bella whilst looking through a website of Wendy's favourite designer. It was a feather headpiece they found on this website in which she decided to base the whole party around it. The girls got to make s'more, go on a scavenger hunt and even did some crafting. The highlight for me was the cute little tents set up for the girls to sleep in {genius} and the dessert table is just fabulous and in keeping to the theme. LOVE IT!!

Vintage Hot Air Balloon by Little Sooti

Last month I had fun styling a little inspiration shoot for Zoe's 3rd birthday next year using the 'Vintage Hot Air Balloon' printables from my gorgeous friend Li-Ann of Ham & Pea Design and Paperie. The cake and desserts were created by Anita of Cake Envy, the felt clouds by Sweet Tashie and gorgeous Photography by Laura of Laura Cioccia Photography here in Melbourne.

Desserts included strawberry macarons from Sweet Tiers, cookies shaped and iced like white clouds, buttercream cupcakes with pink frosting, chocolate truffle cake pops, cookies shaped like hot air balloons all by Cake Envy, fairy floss, bon bons and strawberry milk. Most importantly, the little ones had some fun whilst we were playing around with this theme. This gorgeous little do was also featured on the Amy Atlas Blog here.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. We have had a lovely sunny day here in Melbourne. I have finally had the chance to sit down now the kids are in bed and share with you the photos of our beautiful "Vintage Little Red Riding Hood" shoot. We are more than thrilled to of had this included in the first issue of 'Tickle The Imagination' magazine. If you have not had the chance to read this fantastic online magazine then please make yourself a cuppa, sit down and enjoy it. You will find great articles, DIY's, tutorials, photography, inspiration and much more. It already has recieved such fabulous feedback and even been called one of the 'best'. I am excited to be a regular contributor and they even have a Christmas Issue coming out in November. Be sure to go by their Facebook page and get all the details.

I am thrilled to have worked with such talented ladies on this shoot and a special mention to Laura of Laura Cioccia Photography for not only the amazing Photography, but also for her wonderful support and new friendship. A huge thank you to Natalie of Petite Bijou who lovingly created the FAMOUS cape and the gorgeous bunting on the table (she finished this for me and had it beautifully packaged and posted to me while just getting out of hospital and should of been resting!!!) That is commitment. We love you Nat!

The cake and desserts were lovingly made by Juli of One Sweet Girl which tied in beautifully with my vision and worked so well, and gorgeous bouquets and table florals, moss and those amazing tree trunks by the lovely Virginia of The Bouquets of Ascha Jolie. Gorgeous invitations and printables were by Mitchell & Dent, we loved what they came up with for us. Very vintage! And last but not least, Sweet Tashie for making the cute felt 'Little Red Riding Hood Play Set'.

So glad to share with you a cute little party created by a lovely customer of mine. The party was for her daughter, Eva's 1st birthday. Amber is the author of the Happiness is Eva blog, I must say once I started reading her blog it was somewhat infectious, a beautiful blog about her daily life but also a big part of her daughter, Eva's life. Just from reading through a few pages, you can see how much love this family has for eachother and their beautiful little girl.

They share personal stories, experiences and the appeal is that so many of us can relate and it's just nice to read about other peoples daily life to be honest, (smile) and for me, I think it brings a little comfort knowing that there are people out there doing normal things too like going to cafes, bookstores, a weekend market and so on. I guess I am still in a bit of a baby bubble at home and tend to think people are having these outrageously glamorous lives that I am missing out on, but then come back to reality and remember that I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old and it is cold and wet here in Melbourne so ofcourse I would be naturally spending alot more time indoors..So glad to have found this lovely blog.

Oh, and be warned, Eva's fashion and accessories will give a grown woman a run for her money. The most stylish little girl I have ever seen (and I thought Zoe was pretty trendy) well, little Eva is just too cool for school, Amber is one stylish mumma!! I came across this beautiful bridal shower inspiration shoot from one of my favourites, Green Wedding Shoes blog which was created for A Subtle Revelry. The theme, a "chic modern party with champagne and cute shoes!". I love the invitation, a simple 2 colour tone with stripes and a pair of cute shoes! Love it!
Duct Tape tablecloth? A unique little touch to the table and I am totally into it. The cake is so pretty with its 4 pink toned layers. So sweet!

2. Before saying yes to a new job, responsibility or time commitment, make sure you have the time and the passion to do the best job you possibly can. By stepping back for a moment and evaluating, you'll save yourself stress and frustration that could have been avoided.

3. Maintain discipline. Upon deciding to do something, do it – complete the task. Unless you're in deathly pain, finish what you had intended to do, and in doing so you will gain confidence, strength and a healthier physique.

4. Accept that a project may take longer than expected or cost a bit more than originally budgeted. Be willing to complete a task to the best of your ability even if it takes longer than expected. You'll be much happier in the long run.

5. At work, always do the best you can and put forth positive energy, ideas and an outlook on projects that is infectious for creating a more healthy and productive work environment.

6. As long as you know you're doing your best, don’t beat yourself up when you make a mistake or fall short of your goal. The only regrets are instances where we know that we could have given more of our best selves or should have done something, but took the easy road. As long as you know in your heart you did the best at the time, learn from the lesson and move forward.

7. Don’t waste time. When asked to do something, or trying to complete something that is on your to-do list, get it done, do it well and move on. Procrastinating is not going to make the task disappear.

8. Immerse yourself in relaxation. Carve out down time and allow yourself to savor it. Those who can truly let themselves relax will be energised and able to put their best self forward when it’s time to get busy.

9. Be pro-active and preventative. Make dentist appointments every 6 months, have your tyres rotated every 3 months along with your oil. Taking care of your health and things you rely on to live your life while they're in working order will save much heartache and money down the road

10. Take care of what you have or are responsible for. And if you don’t have the time to take care of it or be responsible for it, then say no.

11. Take care of you. Sleep 6-9 hours each night. Exercise regularly. Eat a balance diet and in proper proportions. Give. Find balance. Achieve financial security. Wash your make-up off each night. Drink more water. Exercise your mind.

12. Be the exception and set a positive example. The beautiful thing that many don’t realise is that when you're giving your best consistently, you'll eventually see very positive results.

The Whitehouse Daylesford

I am totally in love with this amazing cottage in Daylesford, Victoria simply called "The Whitehouse". I first found out about it via Seed who were running a competition to win a little break here. Ofcourse I was entered and was praying that I would win. Sadly I didn't, but I am so grateful for finding out about it. I am in absolute awe of this holiday property and would LOVE to stay here one day. They also hire it out for photo shoots and functions.

The house features 2 bedrooms and a 3rd bedroom/studio in the garden. A library, cozy open fire place, claw foot baths, unique tailored linen for each bedroom, vintage collections of antique furniture and art work, industrial lighting and a rare chandelier from France, hand-painted wall papers by Deborah Bowness from the UK, private garden with a view, all interiors and design was by Lyn Gardener of Empire Vintage.
