Introducing Little Paper Cloud

Little Paper Cloud was established in 2009 by four mothers who saw the need to provide a new direction of creative activities for young children. The result is a wonderful hands-on craft and cooking experience with a fresh modern edge.

Little Paper Cloud’s unique food and craft program for preschoolers provides an opportunity to imagine, create and play in an encouraging and stimulating space. Using an array of beautiful materials and delicious fresh ingredients, children can take pleasure in preparing their own food and making special works of art.

Classes are themed and themes change weekly so there is always something new and exciting to experience. Parents too have the opportunity to enjoy precious time together with their child and socialize with other parents in a friendly atmosphere.

Little Paper Cloud also brings the excitement of their classes to children’s parties with fabulous entertainment for three to ten year olds. They offer a great range of fun themes to choose from and treat every party, big or small, as extra special.

Planning your party is made a great deal easier with Little Paper Cloud. Even their basic party package includes much of what is needed to make the day a success. In addition if you require delicious catering or gorgeous gift bags for the guests, no problem, the team can organise that too.

All enquiries are warmly welcomed. Please call 0457 066 476 or

Thinking outside the balloon...

If you think you can't have a party without your usual balloons and streamers, think again! Check out these beautiful decorations and see how they can transform your party into something ever so stylish.

From top left (clockwise):
1. Papelitos Picados Banners from Aymuyer will add colour to any festive occasion.

2. Martha Stewart's DIY pom-poms can be made in any size or colour.
3. Fabric bunting from The Party Studio also doubles up as a lovely keepsake and can be used to decorate your child's bedroom.

4. Amy Atlas has turned the simple party balloon into a real stand-out statement by keeping it big and simple.

5. Paper garlands from The Papertie Affair.

6. Melinda from Paperklip Design can string together a huge range of gorgeous hand cut shapes. This is a simple garland made from paper tape, but would look fabulous strung in rows across the ceiling.

7. & 8. DIY your own garland and don't forget the good ol' paper chain. This is one that you could even get your kids involved in!

zoe's christening: white and lemon theme

As promised, here are some photo's I took of Zoe's christening dessert table and some decorations in the marquee. There were much more desserts that people brought, but this is the set up I had for the cake and lollies for the kids to fill up and take home. The images aren't the best quality as the weather was dark and cold outside, but it gives you an idea of how it looked and it really did look lovely. My colour theme was white and lemon and i'm happy the way it turned out, it was really fun decorating everything. I can't wait to start organising Zoe's first birthday party which will be a pink theme.

The banner got loose and was hanging lower
than I wanted it to, but I then changed it and
hanged it above the table.
I filled the jars with honeycomb, milk bottles
 and bananas.
The cake was from Ferguson Plare, who I must say have a
great collection of gorgeous cake's to choose
from or create. I made the pom-poms myself and hung
them around the marquee.
I bought the little tealight candle holders from Target.
The marquee was decked out in white and
yellow pom poms, balloon's, white chinese lanterns and yellow streamers.

Hope you liked the photo's and I apologise for the quality.
I will have much better photo's from Zoe's birthday party next month.

A Little Birdie Told Me....

Guest Post: The Party Studio
Sweet little birds seem to be the latest trend in design. You see them everywhere from wall decals to kid's fashion. So why not throw yourself a bird-inspired party?

From top left, bird cookies from Sunflower Baking; a bird cage (the one pictured from The Paper Cafe) would make a great table centrepiece, or hang several from the ceiling as a display over your table; another centrepiece alternative is to use branches on which you could hang felt birds that your guests can take home; a wreath (designed by Bella Grace Party Designs) at the front door, welcomes guests; handmade birds from Ann Wood are made as cake toppers but would also look great as a table decoration; beautifully boxed little nests filled with eggs (as seen on Gigi & Lulu) would be the perfect thank you gift for your guests.

Be sure to check back for a post on The Party Studio's gorgeous kids Owl Party creation.

Thanks Pauline ..

strawberry shortcake birthday party

Thanks to Amy from fabulous Giggleberry Creations who told me about this gorgeous party I am featuring. Cherie from blog Cherie Was Here created this cute and pretty little strawberry shortcake party for her daughter's 5th birthday. Cherie says she didn't have many birthday parties as a child (same here) and she wanted to really create a special and memorable day for her daughter Ella. I think she did a fantastic job, the photo's look great and even better, my favourite bunting from Giggleberry Creations is hanging above the sweets table. How good does it look?

Okay, once I get Zoe's christening out of the way next Sunday, I have to start planning her Pink themed birthday party, which is NEXT MONTH!! Yikes! So little time, but I do work best under pressure..

Hope you enjoyed these and thanks Cherie for sharing.

a pink and white baby shower

Well, an interesting day in Melbourne today. Rain, hail, storms it was GREAT!! I love being in doors when there is terrible weather, it feels really cozy!! I even baked a cake today as I was feeling very "Martha Stewart" and I had an apron on and all.. The cake was nice, but the icing was a disaster, I was meant to use cold butter but microwaved it instead and it was so terrible I ended up covering the cake with whipped cream!

I have found a gorgeous baby shower that the lovely Keren from Free Pretty Things For You blog hosted 3 years ago. She had a budget of $300 and it looks gorgeous if you ask me.. Go Keren!!

Hope your having a great weekend xx
